About DonghuaWiki
Donghua (动画) simply means animation in Chinese; outside China the word has come to mean Chinese animation specifically. It is one of the fastest-growing corners of global animation, but its English-language coverage is thin and scattered. DonghuaWiki exists to fix that: one place where series, films, studios, and terminology are documented properly, in English, with sources.
The wiki currently covers 49 series and films, 15 studios, 28 glossary terms, and 5 guides, and it grows continuously.
Editorial standards
- Verified facts. Studio attributions, dates, episode counts, box office figures, and streaming availability are checked against multiple sources before publication. Claims that cannot be verified are omitted rather than guessed.
- References on every page. Series, film, and studio pages end with the sources used to write them.
- Original writing. Synopses and background sections are written for this wiki, not copied from other sites.
- Spoiler discipline. Synopses describe the premise, not the plot.
About the cover art
The poster-style covers across the wiki are original generative artwork: each entry gets a deterministic design built from its Chinese title, set in classical vertical typesetting with a seal stamp. We use them instead of copyrighted key visuals, so the wiki stays fully independent. Official art belongs to the studios and platforms; find it on the linked official channels of each entry.
Corrections and contributions
Spotted an error or a missing title? Every entry ends with a "suggest an edit" link that opens the underlying file on GitHub, where corrections can be proposed directly. Every page also lists its references so you can check the sourcing yourself.
Independence
DonghuaWiki is not affiliated with any studio, streaming platform, or publisher. All titles, names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Availability information is provided for convenience and can change without notice.
