Adapted from Tiancan Tudou's xuanhuan web novel serialized on Qidian from 2009, the CG series launched on Tencent Video in January 2017 with a 12 episode first season by Foch Films. Motion Magic took over with the 2017 special and has produced every installment since, including three specials, a 24 episode fourth season, and Origin, a 2022 remake of the opening arc. On July 31, 2022 the franchise moved to a year-round weekly annual series, or nian fan, and regulators approved additional episodes as recently as late 2025. Roughly 195 annual episodes had aired by mid June 2026, with new installments still arriving weekly as of July 2026; international databases often label the annual run Season 5. Yuewen Animation posts official English subbed episodes on YouTube, and WeTV carries early seasons as Fights Break Sphere.
