The fox spirits of Tushan run a matchmaking service for lovers separated by mortality: when a human dies and reincarnates without memories, the foxes help the surviving spirit partner reawaken the old bond. Broke young exorcist Bai Yuechu and rookie matchmaker Tushan Susu team up on these assignments, unaware that their own partnership echoes a promise made between two powerful figures generations earlier.
