Qin's Moon, produced by Hangzhou's Sparkly Key Animation Studio (Xuanji Technology) under director Shen Leping, launched in 2007 as one of China's earliest long running 3DCG animation franchises, loosely inspired by novels by Wen Shiren. Six seasons have aired, primarily on Youku, from Hundred Steps Flying Sword (2007) through Junlin Tianxia (2014-2016, 75 episodes). The sixth season, Canghai Hengliu, released a prologue in 2018 and ran its 25 episode first half from October 2020 to March 2021, but the second half remains unscheduled, leaving the franchise on an extended hiatus as of mid 2026. Roughly 199 episodes exist across the six seasons, alongside spin-off works.
