Shenman Entertainment (Shenman Culture), a studio founded in January 2020 by Shenman magazine publisher Zhongnan Angel and Shenzhen developer Zhuohua Interactive, animates this 3DCG adaptation of Tang Jia San Shao's novel, with Zeng Yuanjun as chief director and head writer and Tencent Penguin Pictures among the presenters. It premiered exclusively on Tencent Video on April 28, 2022 as a 26-episode season, then shifted to a year-round weekly format whose registered length was extended in stages to 208 episodes, a stretch that drew complaints about pacing from some viewers. The finale aired in April 2026, closing an almost exactly four-year run. A spin-off animated film opened in China in April 2025. WeTV streams the series internationally as a WeTV Original with English subtitles, and Tencent Video's animation YouTube channel posts English-subbed episodes.
