Eclipse of Illusion is Youku's first original 3DCG series built around a female revenge lead, animated by Suzhou studio Yien Animation with co-directors Wu Weidong, Qiyue, and Wang Hao and screenwriter Yue Tong. Season 1 ran 26 episodes across four arcs on Youku from July 5 to December 20, 2025, updating Saturdays, and set platform records with more than 2.25 million pre-release reservations. The team renders offline with manual refinement rather than relying on real-time game-engine output, which is part of why its imagery circulates so widely. A six episode prequel special, The Miasma War (Zhu Ming Zhi Yi), premiered June 17, 2026 and updates Wednesdays; Youku has announced Season 2 for its summer 2026 slate, and officially subtitled episodes stream on the YOUKU ANIMATION YouTube channel. An earlier English title, Veiled Dreams, appeared on some materials before Eclipse of Illusion became standard.
